Knit to the point where you want to start your cast off edge.

Knit 2 stitches, pass the first of these 2 stitches up and over the second stitch and off the needle.

Knit 1 stitch, pass the previous stitch up and over this stitch and off the needle.

Repeat step 3 until you have cast off the desired number of stitches.

Knit to the end of the row.

Start the second row, work up to where the cast off section begins.

Turn your work so the right side is facing you, use the cable cast on technqiue to cast on the desired number of stitches.

When you have cast on all of your stitches, turn your work so the wrong side is facing you, continue to the end of the row as normal.
