First you will need to cut several lengths of yarn. For this swatch, we are cutting our lengths of yarn at 80cm. We will also be holding the yarn double to create a bolder stripe.

Identify where you will stitching. You will be stitching through the N’s and U’s of each column

Fold your yarn in half and thread your folded end through the needle.

Starting at the bottom of your piece, thread under your first N, then over the second N, continuing going under, then over until you reach the top of your piece.

Continuing going under, then over your N stitches until you reach the top of your piece.

Work your next column, which will be the U’s on the right hand side of your previous line of stitches. Go over your first one, then under your second.

Continuing going under, then over your U stitches until you reach the top of your piece.

Leave a gap and work into your 3rd N stitch like you did in steps 4 and 5.

Go under and over until you reach the top of your piece.

Work another 3 columns right next to your previous row, so another U, another N, and another U row.
