Step by Step

How To Knit Trinity Stitch - Step 1

Step 1

Trinity stitch is worked across a multiple of 4 stitches, plus an extra 2 edge stitches.

Purl the first row.

To work the second row, knit the first stitch.

Then increase into the next stitch twice. to do this, knit into the stitch, but don’t take it off the left needle, bring the yarn to the front between your needles, then purl the stitch, again without taking the stitch off the left needle. Take the yarn to the back of your work between your needles and knit the same stitch again, this time taking it off the left needle. This 1 stitch is now 3 stitches.

Purl the next 3 stitches together, by inserting the needle into the next 3 stitches and them purling them together and completing as a normal purl stitch.

Repeat steps 4 and 5 until you have 1 stitch left of your row, knit the last stitch.
